Oat cookies are one of my favorites. It’s hard to beat these cookies when they come fresh out of the oven, not only is the smell amazing, but a warm cookie loaded with oats really warms the my heart. 
 
1 c. salted butter, softened
2 c. packed dark brown sugar 2 tsp. 
3 c. vanilla extract 1 3/4
4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. 
5 c. salt 1/2 tsp. 
6 c. baking soda  
7 c. oat
